I was lucky enough to go to the Opening Ceremony dress rehearsal, and what a show it was! I had 4 friends dancing in it and I was very proud (and a bit jealous). I thought the Akram Khan dance was beautiful and very moving. The choreography when changing the scenes between the ‘Green’ and ‘Industrial’ must have taken ages, it was seamless – watching it on TV you didn’t get a really sense of the scale of it all. It was one show I will never forget seeing.
