People often ask us for bunting to decorate their parties, and so I decided to get craft and make some. I love sewing and I usually have a creative project on the go, so I really enjoyed making this.

I had some felt material left over from a dance costume I had made, so I used that for it. Felt doesn’t fray which means I didn’t have to hem the individual triangles, which made it so much quicker to make.

I made 20meters in total, and it comes in three sections.

I got some ribbon with a bit of sparkle in it, and I think it really lifts it all and twinkles in the sunlight. I love the bright colours, and it is neutral for a girl or a boy’s party – or a grown up one for that matter!

So let us know if you’d like us to bring the bunting with us, to help decorate your party.

Pony riding and dancing – two of our favourite things in the world in one amazing party!!

When we were asked to teach a Line dance themed party at a riding stable we ‘jumped’ at the chance (get it?). The party was for a 6yr old girl and 15 of her friends at a riding stables in West London. The girls were riding the ponies first, and then groomed them – brushing their coats and putting ribbons in their manes and tails.

Then our party teacher (dressed up as a cowgirl obviously!) came in to play horse themed dance games and do a Pinata with them, before teaching a Line dance to some upbeat Country Music. Yee Harrr! They all had a brilliant time dancing before settling down to a lovely lunch.

This will always be a party we will fondly remember (and I might actually do it for my next birthday party!…)

We thought it was time for a bit of a refresh and to show you some fab parties we have been dancing at recently.

Hope you like our new parties showreel!

What a brill night it was seeing the Strictly Live Show at London’s O2 Arena.

Being a massive Strictly fan I was VERY excited! The stage was enormous and the arena was packed with an electric atmosphere. It was great seeing the judges live and hearing their expert feedback on the celebrity dances. But my favourite parts were seeing the big group dances, as all the pro dancers, choreography and staging are just fantastic, especially in such a grand setting.

I voted for Debbie to win on the night as I think she is a brilliant dancer and a total inspiration to women her age to keep dancing. But Susan gave a great sob story and ended up winning haha!

A fantastic night of entertainment, and a 10 from me!

Introducing the Pink Bollywood Flamingos! We were invited to Vivian’s 9th birthday party to do a Bollywood themed party as she had always wanted to try Bollywood dancing with her friends.

We arrived at the Arts Theatre in Cambridge, bright and early and looking forward to the party. Pink costumes were bought for all the nine girls, which matched our pink costumes perfectly. The girls even renamed us all the ‘Pink Bollywood Flamingos’!

They wanted to have some performances from professional dancers, so I took three dancers along with me too, from my other dance company Bollywood Vibes. We all perform at events as well as teaching loads of dance workshops in all styles of dance, so I knew I had a great team with me for this party.

At the start of the party we got the girls dressed in their costumes, then put the Bindis on them to complete the sparkly fun look, they looked amazing! We started off with a short Bollywood performance from us 4 dancers to show the mini dancers what they were going to be learning – and they loved it!
We then did a Bollywood warm up with them, and played lots of dance games before starting to teach the main dance routine. They were really fast learners and great dancers.

Some parents (and staff from the theatre!) came back at the end of the party as they were all dying to have a look at the end dance performances. Us pro’s did a second short performance for everyone, followed by the girl’s Bollywood dance. They were all fantastic and blew us away with their energy and enthusiasm. We had sooo many hugs from everyone after that they were almost late for their birthday lunch at Jamie’s Italian after!
It was such a fun party to be part of, we loved it.

Strictly fever is back in full force (yay) and a Charleston party was in order for Temisola, who is a big fan of the show.

She was turning 10yrs old and wanted a Charleston party for all her friends. She dressed to impress with her flapper dress and feather boa, and I dressed up too – of course.

We played lots of Strictly Come Dancing themed dance games, did a photo shoot with all the children on the red carpet, as well as learning the main dance routine which we performed to all the parents at the end.

The food they had was all gold and black, and Strictly themed too, I was well impressed!

Had great feedback from her Mum at the end too:

Thank you for giving Temisola and her friends such a lovely dance experience. They really enjoyed it! Banke Morgan

Here’s a little video of all the fun….
