Olive’s 8th Birthday Party

I did a great dance party on the weekend for Olive’s 8th birthday. I’ve taught Olive for a few years in a school in Puney so it was lovely seeing her and some of my students out of school. We had loads of fun and danced to “I Gotta Feeling”!

Bollywood Vibes Show

Record Breaking Big Dance 2010

I took part in Big Dance 2010 this year at a school in Putney, London. Over several months I taught the whole school the set ‘Big Dance’ and on a hot summers day in the playground we broke a world record. The aim was to get as many people dancing the same dance at the same time over the whole of the UK (as everyone was learning the same ‘Big Dance’). At 1pm I had all the children from the school, teachers and even parents joining in with the dance. It was a bit crazy, but fantastic and we were all really excited to have played our part in breaking a world record! See the photos of me below, first rehearsing with one class, and then when everyone joined in with the dance.

Fantastic Party

I did an amazing dance party last weekend in Hampstead and I’m still buzzing from it! It was for a girl’s 12th birthday and she had about 20 friends all dressed up as singers (me included). The theme was ‘Pop Factor’ and we did some brilliant dances from Beyonce, Cheryl Cole and Michael Jackson for the boys. At the end they performed for their parents who gave their comments and judged them X Factor style. It was a great party! (March 2010)

India

I’ve just been to India for a fantastic holiday. I watched lots of dance performances to give me inspiration and did loads of yoga. I swam in an ice cold waterfall and fed monkeys bananas from my hand, they were very cute. I also bought loads of bangles and bindis for my bollywood dance parties, it was great! (Jan 2010)

Notting Hill Carnival

This year I lived my dream and danced in the Notting Hill Carnival with Samba Paraiso. It was the most amazing day and I loved every second of it! Well almost every second… blisters from dancing in heels for 4 hours was a killer! I also danced at the Thames festival in their torch lit night procession, see the photos below.

Watch my video, you get a great sense of the atmosphere, and look at all the fabulous costumes. I appear at in the video at 3min 45secs in, you can hear my friends screaming when they see me!
